NHL Futures: Stanley Cup Odds Update

The Pittsburgh Penguins and the Chicago Blackhawks remain at the top of the odds to win the 2014 Stanley Cup at the online sportsbooks heading into November, but a hot start to the season has pushed the San Jose Sharks up amongst those betting favorites.

The latest Stanley Cup odds at Bodog have Pittsburgh leading the way at 13/2, followed by both Chicago and San Jose at 7/1. The Penguins got out to a 10-4-0 start in their first 14 games of the season, with Chicago starting 9-2-3 in their first 14 games, and San Jose posting a record of 10-1-2 through their first 13 games.

The Boston Bruins and St. Louis Blues are then both at 10/1 on those Stanley Cup odds at Bodog, with the rising Colorado Avalanche and Toronto Maple Leafs each listed at 12/1 odds. The Avalanche went 11-1-0 in their first 12 games of the season to lead the Central Division, while the Maple Leafs entered the month of November at 10-4-0 to lead the Atlantic Division.

The Detroit Red Wings (14/1) and Los Angeles Kings (16/1) round out the top tier of contenders on the latest Stanley Cup odds at Bodog, with the Vancouver Canucks at 20/1, the Anaheim Ducks at 22/1, the Montreal Canadiens at 25/1, and the Minnesota Wild and Ottawa Senators both at 28/1.

The Philadelphia Flyers, who went just 3-9-0 in their first 12 games of the season, find themselves back at 66/1 on the Stanley Cup odds at Bodog right now, with the trio of Calgary, Edmonton, and Winnipeg all set at 100/1 odds. The Florida Panthers (200/1) and Buffalo Sabres (250/1) are the current longshots on the odds to win the 2014 Stanley Cup.
