With one week of NHL playoff betting action in the books the Boston Bruins remain the favorites on the odds to win the Stanley Cup after allowing just two goals in two games against the Detroit Red Wings in their first-round series.
The Bruins, at 4/1 on the updated Stanley Cup odds at Bodog, and Red Wings, however, are tied 1-1 in that first-round set after Detroit won the opener 1-0 last Friday night. Boston won Game 2 by a 4-1 score on Sunday to pull even in the series with the Red Wings, who are at 28/1 on the Stanley Cup odds.
The St. Louis Blues are then at 9/2 on those updated NHL futures at Bodog, with the San Jose Sharks at 11/2, the Anaheim Ducks at 13/2, and the Montreal Canadiens at 7/1. The Blues hold a 2-0 series lead on the Blackhawks heading into the week, with San Jose up 2-0 on Los Angeles, Anaheim up 2-0 on Dallas, and Montreal up 3-0 on Tampa Bay.
The Pittsburgh Penguins, who are tied 1-1 in their first-round series with the Columbus Blue Jackets, are set at 8/1 on the updated odds to win the Stanley Cup at Bodog, with the Colorado Avalanche at 9/1 and holding a 2-0 series lead on the Minnesota Wild.
The Blackhawks are then back at 18/1 on that list, with the New York Rangers at 20/1 and the Philadelphia Flyers at 22/1 with those two Metropolitan Division teams all square at 1-1 in their first-round series heading into the week.
Los Angeles has fallen back to 33/1 on the Stanley Cup odds at Bodog, with Columbus at 40/1, Minnesota at 100/1, Dallas at 150/1, and Tampa Bay the longshot at 250/1 as they stare at an 0-3 series deficit heading into the week.
