The Boston Bruins continue to lead the way on the Stanley Cup futures list at the sportsbooks, as they now sit at 6/1 odds to win the NHL’s championship this season.
Back at 13/2 on the Stanley Cup odds a month ago, the Bruins’ line is slightly better right now at Bovada as they gun for their second title in two seasons. The Vancouver Canucks are second on the list at 13/2 odds, with both the Detroit Red Wings and the New York Rangers pegged at 8/1 odds to win the Stanley Cup this season.
The Pittsburgh Penguins had been at 15/2 odds to win the Stanley Cup a month ago, but they’ve slipped to 10/1 despite their recent hot streak. The Chicago Blackhawks are also at 10/1 odds, with the San Jose Sharks at 11/1, and the Philadelphia Flyers – the third Atlantic Division club in the first eight on the futures list – sitting at 12/1.
The St. Louis Blues lead off the second tier of Stanley Cup contenders at 14/1 odds, with the Washington Capitals next at 18/1, and the Nashville Predators at 20/1. The Los Angeles Kings have not played up to expectations so far this season, but they still have modest 25/1 odds at Bovada to win the championship this year.
The Florida Panthers, New Jersey Devils, and Toronto Maple Leafs are all at 30/1 on the Stanley Cup futures board, while the Ottawa Senators are at 40/1 to win it all.
The Anaheim Ducks, Edmonton Oilers, and New York Islanders lead off the Stanley Cup longshots at 150/1 odds at Bovada, with the Carolina Hurricanes at 250/1, and the Columbus Blue Jackets – dead last in the NHL standings – set at 500/1 odds.
