A few weeks into the 2013 NHL regular season the Pittsburgh Penguins have moved back into top spot on the odds to win the Stanley Cup at the sportsbooks, but they have some company.
Both the St. Louis Blues and the Chicago Blackhawks are tied with the Penguins at 7/1 on the current odds to win the Stanley Cup at Sports Interaction after those two Central Division clubs got off to quick starts this season.
The New York Rangers are next at 8/1 odds, followed by both the Boston Bruins and the San Jose Sharks at 9/1 odds. The Sharks were the only team in the league to get off to a perfect 7-0-0 start to the season heading into action on Saturday night.
The Vancouver Canucks then sit at 12/1 odds at Sports Interaction to win the Stanley Cup, followed by the Minnesota Wild at 15/1, the upstart Edmonton Oilers at 16/1, and both the Tampa Bay Lightning and the defending-champion Los Angeles Kings at 18/1.
The Philadelphia Flyers have struggled out of the gate this year and find themselves down to 20/1 on the Stanley Cup futures, putting them just ahead of the Detroit Red Wings (22/1), and each of the New Jersey Devils, Ottawa Senators, and Montreal Canadiens (all 25/1).
Rounding out the current odds to win the Stanley Cup at Sports Interaction are the Columbus Blue Jackets, who are way back at 250/1 on those NHL futures after a typically-bad start to the campaign.
