On the Stanley Cup futures at Bodog heading into the third round of the playoffs the Los Angeles Kings and the New York Rangers are tied as the 2/1 favorites to win the championship.
The Kings had an easier time in their second-round matchup, taking care of the St. Louis Blues in just four games after using only five games to knock out the top-seeded Vancouver Canucks in the first round of the playoffs.
The Rangers were taken to the limit by the Washington Capitals in the second round, winning Game 7 on Saturday. New York also needed seven games to dispatch the Ottawa Senators in the first round.
New York will now take on the New Jersey Devils in the Eastern Conference final, while Los Angeles will face the Phoenix Coyotes in the Western Conference final.
On the NHL futures at Bodog the Devils are listed at 10/3 odds to win the championship this season, while the Coyotes are the longshot on that chart at 7/2 odds to skate away with the title.
New Jersey took seven games to knock out the Florida Panthers in the first round, but got past the Philadelphia Flyers in just five games in the second round of the postseason.
Phoenix bounced the Nashville Predators in five games in the second round of the playoffs after taking care of business in six games against the Chicago Blackhawks back in the first round.
